This post is a little over due. I posted this look on Instagram about a week ago, and I am just now getting it online! This look I created using the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette. Obviously every one knows about the controversy between this palette. In my opinion, there is a lot of fall out but you need to know how to use it to avoid as much fallout as everyone else is getting. It seems to me that they just swirl their brush in it, first of all, you don’t need to do that. The shades are very pigmented, therefor you don’t need much product because a little bit goes a long way. So gently tapping your brush into the shade will result in a lot less dust! You’re really just wasting product if you dip right into it and swirl your brush in it cause like I said, it is very pigmented. Now that I have shared my unpopular opinion, here is the look I created! 🙂
To start this off, I first primed my eyes with the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, then set it with my Kat Von D lock it setting powder and brushed off the excess.
Transition shade: New Wave
Crease: Roxy and Fudge
Inner corner and center of lid: Electric
Outer V: a little bit of All Star
I applied some Colourpop creme gel liner in the shade Show Me on my bottom water line, then blended Fudge, Axis, Roxy, and New Wave onto the lash line.
For my face, I mixed Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour foundation with Maybelline Fit Me foundation and applied it with my beauty blender, of course, after priming my face with Benefit PoreFessional and Smashbox Photo Primer. To contour I used Tarte Amazonian Clay bronzer, and IBY beauty highlight/contour palette. For blush I used Maybelline fit me blush in the shade Plum. For my highlight I used Ofra Cosmetics Rodeo Drive, and on top of that I applied Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Edition ultra glow in the shade King. I then set my face with Kat Von D setting powder.
For my eyebrows, I used Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade and brow definer in dark brown, then I finished it off with ABH clear brow gel and highlighted the brow bone with the shade Beam from the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette. Side note: I will never love another eyebrow product other than the ones from Anastasia Beverly Hills. These two (and the brow wiz) are my ride or dies, always have been and always will be.
For my lashes, I first coated them in the Lor’eal voluminous lash paradise mascara, top and bottom. Then, I applied Azeredo Cosmetics AKA Mandy Lashes in the style Vixen, which is apart of the lightweight mink collection, you can get them here. These lashes are so nice, they are my favorite by far. The band is nice and flexible, the length of the lashes is perfect, and they look pretty natural but glam! Use my code IZZY10 at checkout to get $$$ off your order!
For my lips, I scrubbed them with Jelly Pong Pong coffee + coconut lip scrub WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you like that kind of flavor, not only does it taste good, but it does its job! You can get that here. I then primed my lips with EOS smooth stick and applied Kylie Cosmetics matte lipstick in the shade Gorg. A little tip: exfoliate and prime your lips at the beginning of your routine (when you prime your face) so the primer or lip balm can sink into your lips and really moisturize them, then apply your lipstick after you finish your face.
For the grand finale, I drenched my face with the Maybelline Setting Spray and made sure to fan dry it. Another little tip: DO THIS STEP AFTER SPRAYING YOUR FACE! You can use a fan, palette, book, whatever, because for some reason it really sets your makeup in place and does not move.
Thank you so much for reading! Hope you enjoyed 🙂
